Race functions

FunctionWhat it does
Anti-lagRetard + extra fuel + air path so the turbo stays spooled off-throttle
Rotational idleHigh-RPM spark-cut idle on the clutch for drift initiation
Boost by gearBoost target and duty per gear, from VSS/RPM or a gear sensor
Traction controlSlip-based spark retard then cut, from driven vs undriven speed
Launch / 2-stepClutch-in RPM cap with optional boost build
PWM tablesFour generic 8×8 PWM maps for fans, pumps, nitrous, extras
LuaCustom CAN and logic on the F7 — not a replacement for the tables above

Environment

  • 3D-printed water-resistant ABS enclosure, USB-C serial on the case. Waterproof option on request. Mount with the connectors facing down or sideways so water cannot pool in AMPSEAL cavities.
  • Keep away from exhaust, turbo heat shields and ignition coils. If the case is too hot to hold, it is too hot for the MCU.
  • Not a submersible ECU. AMPSEAL is splash-resistant when fully latched with a dressed loom; it is not an IP68 dive rating.

F7 versus F4

Some Proteus-family boards shipped with STM32F429 (F4). Race Core F7 is based on the F767 unit. Flash the F7 build of rusEFI, FOME or Core EFI — never an F4 bundle. F7 has more RAM for Lua, 12-cylinder sequential, a CAN dash and the race functions in this manual, plus a different bootloader recovery path — see Firmware update.
