CAN 1
- CAN H: B17. CAN L: B16.
- Twisted pair, automotive CAN cable. Not two random wires from the scrap bin.
- 120 Ω between H and L at each end of the bus — typically inside the ECU (check whether your Race Core build has the on-board terminator populated) and inside the dash or TCM. A three-node bus still only wants two terminators.
- A mid-bus wideband controller should not add a third 120 Ω.
Common nodes: Race Core dash, CAN wideband (AEM, rusEFI, Realdash-facing controllers), OEM body/dash CAN (BMW, VAG, 350Z and similar), steering-angle / ABS if you are doing traction from OEM CAN.
USB-C
- Serial is the USB-C port on the ABS enclosure. Data cable. Charge-only cables enumerate nothing.
- Connector B also carries D+ (B14), D− (B7) and shield (B6) if you want a harness USB. Leave them unused otherwise.
- If the connection drops every time the charger is plugged into the laptop, that is a ground loop. Tune on battery, or isolate.
