MAP & TPS
Speed-density load, throttle position, and dual-sensor ETB.

MAP
Race Core is a speed-density ECU by default. MAP is the load axis of the VE table. Convention in this manual: Analog Volt 1, 5 V Sens 1, sensor GND.
- A 2.5 bar or 3 bar 0–5 V sensor covers most turbo drift/race cars. A 4 bar sensor is for serious boost; you lose idle resolution.
- Enter the transfer (kPa vs volts) from the sensor datasheet, not “GM 3 bar” unless it actually is one.
- Hose to a plenum tap, not a single runner, unless you like a VE table that waves with the intake pulses.
- A small restrictor in the hose (or a 1 mm orifice) damps pulses on a four-cylinder. Do not deaden it so much that transient boost is late.
Baro
If you have a spare AV, a dedicated baro sensor lets you compensate VE for altitude. Otherwise the firmware can snapshot MAP at key-on as baro — that fails if you key-on at the top of a mountain pass and drive to sea level without a restart.
TPS
TPS is not load on a speed-density tune (MAP is). You still need it for accel enrichment, idle-entry, launch, blip and ETB. Analog Volt 2 is the default.
01Closed
Throttle against the stop (cable) or ETB closed position. Capture closed voltage.
02WOT
Blade fully open. Capture WOT voltage. A 0.5–4.5 V sensor should not rail at 0 or 5 — if it does, the sensor or 5 V supply is wrong.
03Sweep
Confirm a monotonic sweep. A dead spot is a worn TPS, not a firmware bug.
