Introduction
What Race Core F7 is, what it replaces, and how this manual is organised.

Race Core F7 is a fully featured standalone engine-management unit based on a Proteus F7. It is intended for race, drift, rally and high-output street engines that need sequential injection, coil-on-plug ignition, electronic throttle, dual CAN and enough I/O for a complete car — not just a four-cylinder.
The controller is an STM32F767 Cortex-M7 running at 216 MHz with 2 MB of flash and 512 KB of SRAM. Firmware is your choice of rusEFI, FOME or Core EFI — all three run on this hardware. TunerStudio is the tuning UI in every case.
What you get

How to use this manual
The layout is hardware and pinout first, then power and actuators, then sensors, then the control strategies you actually tune. Use the interactive pinout when you are in the loom. Use the wiring diagrams when you are at the bench. Use Engine Control when you have RPM and are building a base map. Race functions sit in their own chapter once the engine already idles.
- Chapter 01 — unbox, install TunerStudio, flash, talk to the ECU, first start
- Chapter 02 — race functions: launch, traction, anti-lag, rotational idle, boost-by-gear, PWM tables
- Chapter 03–04 — connectors, power, injectors, coils, pin outside, AMPSEAL
- Chapter 05–06 — sensors, tuning fundamentals, trigger, fuel, spark, idle, boost
- Chapter 07–08 — Lua, CAN, logging, diagnostics
What it is not
- It is not a plug-and-play OEM ECU. You design the loom (or buy a Race Core harness) and you own trigger, injector and coil assignment in software.
- Ignition outputs are 5 V logic. They will not fire a dumb coil. Use smart coils (LSx, Denso stick, IGN-1A) or an external igniter.
- Low-side drivers are sized for high-impedance (saturated) injectors. Peak-and-hold low-Z injectors need ballast or an external driver box.
- It is not a GDI pump/injector driver. Port injection and aftermarket GDI controllers on CAN are the supported paths.
